Caroline and Niranjan’s perfect multicultural affair was composed of two parts: a traditional Hindu ceremony to honour the groom’s heritage in the morning and an afternoon ceremony representing the bride’s French Canadian and Celtic descent. “The morning was about being as bright and colourful as possible, and the evening was classic and formal with muted tones like ivory and mint green,” Caroline says. Caroline donned a red sari and intricate gold jewellery for the Hindu ceremony, and Niranjan recited his vows in French for the second ceremony. “I was blown away, and he had obviously practiced for weeks,” Caroline shares. The couple’s good friend performed a one-man musical at the reception called “Caroline and Junior Kumar Go to White Castle.” “He had everyone rolling in laughter and singing along with him,” Caroline reminisces.
