A Beautiful Elopement in Tofino, British Columbia

Although Chelsea and Marc were in the same social circles, it wasn’t until years later when they would connect. “We both grew up in the same hometown, with mutual friends. Our families knew each other through work connections, but we had never officially met, until he introduced himself one summer at a bar. It would have been about 12 years ago when he said, ‘I’d really love to take you out sometime,” Chelsea recalls. After years of dating, working and living in various cities, the two finally came back to settle down together in their hometown.

After postponing their large celebration due to COVID-19, photographers Brandon and Jess reached out to Chelsea and Marc in regards to new arrangements and jokingly asked the couple to head to Tofino with them to elope. “We took it as a sign and that’s how we ended up having the best two weeks of our lives,” Chelsea shares. “We love how serendipitously things came together.”

With their photographers on hand, Chelsea and Marc stayed at Duffin Cove Oceanfront Lodging in one of the A-Frame Cabins overlooking the water. From there, the two did their first look and vows at Mackenzie Beach followed by various photo sessions in and around the area. “We ended our night with some tacos from “Tacofino’s”, food truck. Following that we went back to where we said our vows and enjoyed s’mores on the beach with Brandon and Jess,” Chelsea recaps.
