A Beautiful Backyard Wedding In Nova Scotia
Kate and Marcus wanted their wedding to be as relaxed as possible -- so what better venue than their own sprawling yard?!
"Our ceremony was performed by a family friend, nestled among the trees in our yard," explains Kate. "I walked down the aisle at 6pm to our fiddler playing 'MacPherson’s Lament' then our ceremony wrapped up with my brother performing 'Home' by Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros."
After the ceremony guests moved to the couple's tented reception space, which was cheerfully decorated with colourful lanterns, wildflowers and creative Mason jar accents. "Just when I thought we were ready to dance I was taken by surprise when my new husband took to the dance floor and triggered a flash mob to "Treasure" by Bruno Mars. It was a secret gift from my wonderful bridesmaids and friends and was was truly one of the best moments of my life," says Kate.
