These days the web plays a part in every facet of a relationship -- from the time a couple meets to their wedding day and beyond.

An estimated 30 to 40 million North Americans now use online dating sites, according to Macleans, and in a recent study conducted by The Knot and Pinterest 91 percent of brides said they were going online for wedding inspiration.

Our Weddingbells reader survey indicated that the average bride will spend roughly 4.3 hours per week on wedding-related websites and blogs and 86 percent of brides will buy at least one wedding-related item online.
