A Pretty Paper Company In Halifax

Last fall, the founder of the sought-after event planning company Elegant Productions (the collective behind some of Atlantic Canada’s most showstopping celebrations), Katelyn Bellefontaine, decided to expand into the stationery business. She hired expert calligrapher Lisa Macpherson and graphic designer Rebecca Dimock to bring her vision to life, and together launched The Elegant Paper Company, a bespoke stationery brand that does the basics—heavy handmade paper, fine inks and gorgeous lettering—really, really well.

Their best designs have an almost Medieval feel, with frayed edges, swooping cursive and monogrammed wax seals. For east coast couples looking to hold their wedding in a historic barn, rugged cliff-side resort or quaint coastal chapel, it’s a match made in Maritime heaven.
