TO’s New Sweet Sleep

For those of you who love chic boutique hotels, the Thompson Hotel name will be familiar to you. With multiple hotels in NYC, LA, DC and Chicago, Toronto is the latest destination for Thompson and though it’s only been open just shy of a month, it is certainly the most buzzed about spot in T-Dot. Located in the hip King West Village area, the 102-room Thompson Toronto boasts sleek and sexy design throughout, including nattily attired staff wearing Canadian labels Bustle Clothing and Jeremy Laing. There’s amazing food at its three in house restos—Scarpetta, Wabora and The Counter, a 24-hour diner! And then there’s the rooftop bar and pool, which are two of the most haute things about the Thompson. The views are spectacular and this summer the Thompson Toronto pool is the place to be seen. If you’re getting married in TO, the Thompson is an amazing place to spend your first night as Mr. & Mrs. It also might be a place to consider as your party place—there are a variety of great event spaces on site. If you’re planning a visit to Toronto (pre-wedding shopping or maybe a honeymoon stay), think about making the Thompson your home. There’s no better sweeter sleep the city this summer.
