How To Create A Honeymoon Registry

  |   By Lisa Perri

These days, when most couples tie the knot they are already equipped with the household items that traditionally fill up a wedding registry. No longer are brides and grooms in need of pots and pans or his and hers towels, and therefore the honeymoon registry concept is on the rise. These online registries allow guests to contribute to a portion of a couple’s dream honeymoon, even allowing guests to choose what their gift will go towards, such as a spa day or room upgrades.

There are generally two types of honeymoon registries: ones provided by travel agencies and resorts that serve as online accounts, which can be filled with credit to be spent with specific companies, and others which serve as a place to send and receive money designated to be spent particular items or experiences from any company under the sun. In both cases, guests go online and choose the “gifts” they’d like to buy. Payment options vary from site to site, but most accept credit card and PayPal – some even offer the option to print out a card to bring to the wedding!

There are many options out there when it comes to setting up your own honeymoon registry. We’ve rounded up some of the most popular sites to check out.
