Disneyland Honeymoon Anyone?

Just like Weddingbells, Disneyland Resort in California is marking its own milestone moment in 2010—it’s 55 year old! Walt Disney opened the gates to Disneyland Park on July 18, 1955 and since then the resort has welcomed over 600 million guests. Now when it comes to celebrating, Disney certainly knows how to take it over the top for and for the resort’s big birthday that means debuting a brand new nighttime spectacular at Disney’s California Adventure park. “World of Color” is Disney magic making at it’s finest. It’s a water and light show unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. It brings the world of Disney and Disney•Pixar animation to life with powerful fountains that become stars of the 25-minute show as they create one of the world’s largest projected water screens. Some show specifics:

• It utilizes 1,200 powerful and programmable fountains with heights ranging from 30 feet to 200 feet. Each fountain has multiple points of control to direct the lighting, color intensity, water angle and height.

• The show has one of the world’s largest projected water screens–a wall of water 380 feet wide by 50 feet high, for a projection surface of 19,000 square feet.

• It features synchronized flame projections, lasers and special effects and a soundtrack performed by more than 100 musicians.

If you’re thinking of a California honeymoon, a stop, stay and play at Disneyland Resort is of course a must. Click here to read my Disneyland honeymoon hotlist.
