The clock is ticking and no doubt Kate and William’s days and nights are filled with wedding prep. The two might just need to steal away for a date night to reconnect and I’ve got the perfect place for them to escape to: The Three Chimneys. Located in middle of God’s country—on the shores of Scotland’s Loch Dunvegan in the Isle of Skye—privacy is key here and so too is amazing food and intimate, luxe accommodations. The Three Chimneys began as a restaurant and is renown as one of Scotland’s best, one of only six from the country to be named on Restaurant Magazine’s UK’s Top 100 restaurants. It’s been described as The French Laundry (Chef Thomas Keller’s famed resto in Yountville, California) of Scotland, and people travel from around the world to dine in Chef Micheal Smith’s kitchen. All food is harvested locally and the menu changes weekly according to ingredients. Because so many people travel to The Three Chimneys to dine, in 1999 they opened The House Over-By, six gorgeous rooms that are intimate, private and incredibly romantic all with views of the open sea. This sweet spot would be the perfect place for the royal couple to seek pre-party solace and is an absolutely wonderful place to honeymoon. Consider it officially on my bucket list—I hope to visit The Three Chimneys in early fall.
