Chic Toronto Sleep

  |   By Alison McGill

There are many gorgeous properties in the city, but one of my favourites and most luxe properties is the Hotel Le Germain. Tucked away on quiet Mercer Street, in the heart of the city’s downtown core, Le Germain is one of those magical boutique properties that sweeps you away from it all the minute you walk into the lobby. We were doing a shoot at the hotel last week and our makeup artist Michelle Rosen (who lives in the city) told us it was her favourite place to escape with her husband, and was the hotel they chose for their wedding night because they loved the modern romantic vibe. Celebrities love the property when they come to town (it’s a TIFF hotspot) for the privacy and stellar service. Everything about Le Germain embodies refined luxury. For the sweetest sleep book one of the hotel’s four suites, which feature a fireplace and private terrace (it’s like your own private oasis in the middle of the city). Plan for a dinner at the in-house resto Victor home to Chef David Chrystian, lauded in The National Post as one of the city’s top 10 chefs. Not to mention the dining room at Victor is architectural perfection. The hotel offers some amazing packages—plan your stay by checking them out here.
