“Wow" Vow Renewal

  |  By Chantale Montgomery
“Wow" Vow Renewal

Vow renewal. It’s the LAST thing on your mind right now, I know. But kinda neat to think about! Especially once you see pictures of a kick-butt vow renewal like this one shot by Micah and Megan Dahlberg. This is a whole other level of cuteness. Kelly and Neil have been married five years and Kelly shared with La Belle Bride the details behind their vow renewal:

We were renewing our vows after five years of awesomeness together. Since we weren’t having a wedding party, and we wanted every guest to be part of the day, we requested that everyone where black and/or white. Our location was the garden behind The Five Crowns, a British restaurant, which was totally for my British husband. We were celebrating our five years together and wanted the party to have an antique garden feel. We put pictures of us through the years on each table, along with clocks (celebration of time) and trinkets that were important to us. We wanted an intimate dinner with family and friends.

La Belle Bride: How did you enjoy the planning of your wedding?

Kelly: It was really fun to plan! There really aren’t rules or traditions that need to be followed for a vow renewal. It was liberating to just go for it!

LBB: Describe any DIY projects or fun you had organizing things.

K: We had a lot of fun going through old pictures, reminiscing, and picking our favorites for the tables. We also had a lot of fun picking out our outfits. :)

LBB: Most importantly how did your day go?

K: The day was amazing. We spent the day playing in the fields, drinking wine, and just being together... and what is more fun than spending the entire day focused on the person you love?

LBB: What did you love the most about it?

K: We loved taking time out of our hectic lives to look back and appreciate what we have been through, where we have come, and how important we are to each other.  Being surrounded by our friends and family, the people who have supported us through the years, reminded us just how blessed we really are.
