We are just wild about Wes Anderson's latest cinematic masterpiece Moonrise Kingdom. The super-sweet story of Suzy and Sam, two 12-year-olds in love, is quirky, charming, enchanting and, like all Wes Anderson films before it, the entire esthetic of the film is incredible. The story of Suzy and Sam is set in 1965 and Anderson shot the entire film in 16mm to give it an authentic retro-feel. We love the rustic New England settings showcased in the film (it was shot mainly in Rhode Island and features fields, mountains and seascapes) and the 60s fashions—Suzy in her coral mini dress, knee socks and saddle shoes, Sam in his khaki Scout uniform. We imagined how Suzy and Sam would look on their wedding day and came up with these ideas, perfect for a camp/retro celebration.
