There is no better way to kick off the beginning of wedding season, than doing flowers for a friend. Lindsay, from HRM Photography, was married on April 17th. What made this so fun, is a couple of years ago when my husband and I married, Lindsay and I traded services. She would be our photographer, and I her florist, a loyal wedding vendor pact. I was so excited when their date was set!
Now the problem with seeing as many weddings as Lindsay and I do, is it is really, really hard to choose what you want for your own wedding! But in the end I think Lindsay could not have planned a more perfect celebration for her and her husband.
I loved designing a Lindsay inspired whimsical mixture of spring flowers. The assortment of larkspur, hydrangea, ranunculus, spray roses, star of Bethlehem, parrot tulips, anemone, freesia, dusty miller and seeded eucalyptus (phew!) created a romantic organic sight!
Sometimes the best way to create a loose, garden, like you just picked it yourself bouquet, is not to have lots of space in between the flowers, or even lots of greens, but to have a huge variety that that creates texture and depth.
