Ever since the official announcement on Tuesday November 16 came out, telling the world that Kate Middleton and Prince William are engaged, the world has been going into an absolute tizzy about every little detail. From which dress she’ll be wearing to where they royal couple will be saying their ‘I Do’s.’ Luckily for royal watchers, the speculation to the location of the big day may have just been answered!
Miss Middleton was spotted stepping out of Westminster Abbey early Wednesday evening, increasing speculations that Kate and her prince may have chosen their wedding venue.
While palace aids report that she is checking out a number of different venues, the gorgeous Abbey remains important to the newly engaged couple. Sitting just west of the Palace of Westminster, it was host to the weddings of both the Queen and the late Queen Mother. What makes it an even more likely choice resides in its connection to William’s mother, Princess Diana whose funeral took place within its halls.
A St. James’ Palace spokesman told Sky News that “the couple wish for a little more time to be able to consult family members and make a decision for themselves.” Whatever the final decision may be, sources say that the Abbey’s only other contender is St. Paul’s Cathedral where Charles and Diana tied the knot in 1981.
