Vintage Style Engagement Rings

  |   By Lisa Perri

Vintage-inspired engagement rings have an old-fashioned, heirloom quality and are the perfect pick for a history buff or antique aficionado.

The vintage look is captured by distinctive features including: unique settings, intricate details (such as milgrain engraving) and alternative stones and shapes (from coloured gemstones to round cut diamonds). Vintage engagement rings are most commonly inspired by three historical genres: Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco. Victorian era rings recall the late 19th century and often consist of yellow or rose gold settings. Rings from the early 20th century, the Edwardian era, are noted for their intricate detailing. The roaring 20's inspired the art deco movement, which was known for its use of bold colours and geometric shapes.

Vintage-inspired engagement rings are both captivating and unconventional. Whether you're in the market for a truly antique ring, or interested in a ring with a vintage-inspired design, we’ve got a gallery of gorgeous sparklers to sure to inspire - and incite a 'yes!'
