We will forever be fans of a blush and mauve colour palette—it’s romantic, classic, fabulous and fun. These shades were the anchor of the beautiful décor story Khrystyna Moro owner of Pastiche Events created for a milestone anniversary for a couple who are very dear to her. “I designed this party for my parents 30th wedding anniversary,” Moro smiles. “To mark their September 2020 anniversary—and their 50th birthdays—they had planned on a combined party with guests from across Canada and a few from the U.S. Like many of us, circumstances changed their plans and with less than three weeks to go, we designed an intimate at-home dinner. We still wanted to celebrate in a special, safe way & decided to go all out on romantic, intentional details.”
We love this backyard party—it has all the makings of a gorgeous wedding day set up! Moro says the blush and mauve palette brought the romance vibe, while the velvet and rich details highlighted the transitional fall feeling. Rosehill Blooms created lush garden inspired arrangements in various shades of white, ivory and blush with mauve and earth-tone accents. Roses, white and blush ranunculus and white dahlias adorned the harvest table and lounge areas.
“Working with the backyard space, we knew lounges would be a great addition to play up the warm, outdoor aesthetic and give the guests a place to chill,” Moro shares. “Emily from Crumb and Berry created a two-tiered textured cake in earl grey with lavender and chocolate with raspberry flavours. The event was intimate, stylish and very personal and it was so fun to celebrate my parents!”
