What are we up to this weekend you ask? Why heading to a wedding show, of course! ’Tis the season for show business (we’ll be out and about next weekend, too) and if you’re a rookie and are planning on heading out to one in the next few weeks, you need to know a few key things to be prepared.
1. Leave the stilettos at home and put on your Puma’s. You’ll be doing plenty of walking around that exhibition centre and your feet will thank you for the tender loving care.
2. Bring a bottomless tote bag to hold all the info you’ll be collecting—and a strong shoulder to lug it all around.
3. Be patient! Expect that there will be lots of brides-to-be just like you clamouring for the same information you are hungry for. No hissy fits and always remember your manners.
4. Prepare to be overwhelmed by everything, especially once you get home to review it all. Soak it in and if you didn’t find what you needed, keep on looking. Don’t settle for anything less than what you want—if you do, you will regret it. Always go with the gut!
Happy show! I’d love to hear about cool things you saw—post your comments below, and I’ll let you know of cool things we notice in our travels.
