Just think how fabulous a royal registry would be?! Now that is a wish list of a lifetime, non? Of course, I had to turn to our home and registry expert Catherine to give me the scoop on what she thought would be on William and Kate’s wish list? Her thoughts:
We don't know enough about Miss Middleton yet, but she obviously loves beautiful things. For her registry, will she opt for a clean, modern and edgy white bone china set like New Wave from Villeroy and Boch? Maybe some over the top decadence from a company like Hermes or Royal Crown Derby? That’s what I would be doing! Flashing back to Lady Diana, she registered for Royal Worcester oven to tableware —it was a practical approach and kept her connected to the everyday. Kate may go for a similar approach with a modern twist. Options I see for her: how about fellow Brit bad boy Gordon Ramsey's line of oven to tableware? Since she loves fashion, she could always go the designer route like Monique L'huillier for Royal Doulton (really love her line of crystal stem and giftware called Atelier—very modern cut and design). Of course, let’s not forget about Wedgwood, a British design company with a rich heritage. My choice pattern: Pashmina, it’s sophisticated and stylish. One more though while we’re talking fine china. Back in the day Royal Doulton introduced a Lady Diana figurine. Can we expect a Kate Middleton figurine? How about the duo as a cake topper? One thing is certain, the Brits know their bone china and we can expect to see plenty of commemorative cups, plates and the like.
