Record Your Wedding Day & Beyond

  |   By Stephanie Gray

When it comes to capturing your wedding day getting a professional photographer is a no-brainer, but what about filming it? If you don't have the budget to hire a professional, but still want to have video footage, one fun option we thought of is to buy your own camera and do the filming yourself (well a friend, not you!). Here at Weddingbells we love the Flip. We've actually used it before to film (when our own videographer wasn't available) and we were all super impressed with the quality.

Record Your Wedding Day & Beyond

Tomorrow our team will be heading out to PEI to shoot an amazing fashion spread for the next issue and unfortunately we can't bring our videographer, so instead our Art Director Jenn will also be our videographer, using of course the Flip! It's super, super easy to use as well, so you don't have to worry about being a techie to figure it out. All you do is press record. What makes the quality so good is that it's HD, meaning it won't look all pixilated when it's up on the big screen. Best thing about having a Flip for your wedding is that you can use is long after your big day is over. There's the honeymoon (chances are you'll want to record the gorgeous destination you're off to) and then all of life's events well after that (baby's first steps, maybe?). Retailing for $240, you can find the Flip at most major retailers including Best Buy and Future Shop, as well as online at theflip.com.
