New Bouquet Shapes

Unkempt bunches of gorgeous blooms are the new bouquet style of the season.

We're currently engaged in a love affair with loose, lovely florals. Wild blooms haphazardly gathered, tucked and tied are the epitome of a romantic bouquet. Designer Michael McKim from Toronto's Parterre Flowers believes this trend is a result of brides-to-be wanted something fresh and unfussy. "I've seen a shift from Princess-Diana inspired cascading arrangements to smaller and looser bunches," McKim explains. So how do you achieve this style without losing the elegance? McKim suggests picking a colour with varying shades of the same hue to accentuate the texture and selecting seasonal flowers. "If your bouquet looks like it may have been freshly picked from the garden, it will have a gorgeous and natural look."
