Kate & Will–This Cake's For You

  |   By Roseanne Dela Rosa

Don't you love this gorgeous sketch? Lori from the Caketress sent it over to me. Definitely fit for a royal wedding! Here's what Lori had to say about the sketch:

I really wanted to design a cake that suits Kate Middleton personal style. I was really inspired with how well she pulls off beautiful and elaborate hats. So I incorporated a fashionable twist into the design by using a hat as an unexpected topper. Also I wanted to have touches of family tradition of Princess Diana into the cake so Sapphire jewels (similar to the royal engagement ring) would be the center of assorted black , blue and white fabric like flowers with lace accents and golden scrolls. All together this cake will be covered in jewels, lace, fabric like flowers, edible feathers and lifted with golden scrolls. I'm thinking Saphire Blue, black, white with touches of gold. Hope you like it!

Like it? We love it! Would be such a dream to see this sketch come to life. Thanks for sharing with us Caketress!
