Prince Harry, Charles and William shot by Mario Testino
It was over a decade ago in 1997 that famed fashion photographer Mario Testino took some of the most memorable candid pictures of Princess Diana for Vanity Fair. Now, in the wake of Kate and William’s royal engagement, Miss Middleton has already sat for her first official photo shoot!
It was confirmed to People magazine that Testino has taken “some engagement photographs” of the happy couple, which is quite fitting considering the photographer has shot many celebrities and royals as well.
In 2003, Testino photographed Prince William for Vanity Fair, a year later in 2004 for William’s 20th birthday; he was commissioned to photograph the prince as well. Since capturing Diana in what she told Testino was “the most ‘her’ they had seen” by her two beloved boys, the Peruvian-born photographer has been a favourite of the royals. Case in point – he was specifically asked for to shoot Prince Harry’s 21st birthday in 2005 at their father’s Duchy Home Farm.
No word yet of when the photos will be released, but rest assured when they do emerge, they will be absolutely beautiful.
