Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting the latest stationery shop in town: Paper and Poste (sister company to The Paper Place). How to recap my visit? Immediately upon arrival, I felt at ease–the interior of the store is simply clean and fresh. And the modern table (displayed at the heart of the shop) creates an inviting atmosphere for stationery shopping. As for the invitation designs themselves, this is where it gets fun and interesting, Paper and Poste has an exclusive Canadian relationship with various retail lines like Paper + Cup, Smock, Elum and Lilywillow Paper & Press, alongside their own custom lines. After multiple inquiries on whether The Paper Place created wedding invitations, employee and design extraordinaire, Beckee McCann, developed the idea of having a store that did specialize in creating wedding stationery–thus resulting in Paper and Poste. If you happen to be at The Wedding Co. show in January, be sure to stop by their booth and say hello, it'll be their first official debut into the wonderful world of weddings. As for their designs, currently, they've uploaded almost 50 online for bride-to-be to peruse through, but to really get a feel of what they have to offer (calligraphy, digital, letterpress) I highly suggest making an appointment to see the beautiful collections upfront. Here are a handful to get you inspired:
