An Intimate, Instagram-Ready Venue In Toronto

  |   By Jean Grant

Rosalinda basically looks like what brides pay their planners thousands of dollars to recreate in an empty warehouse: there’s oodles of natural light, an eclectic mix of colourful furnishings and a greenhouse-inspired glass awning dripping in plant life. The vegan Mexican place just opened in the Financial District from veteran restaurateurs Grant Van Gameren, Max Rimaldi and Jamie Cook—and serves the tastiest meat-free tacos you’ll ever eat and coconut ceviche to die for, along with a refreshing bar menu that doesn’t discriminate against lighter drinkers (the low-alcohol and virgin beverages look just as sophisticated as the stronger ones).

The 10-person dining room table near the back is ideal for Instagrammable bridal showers (especially if you order the Punta Rosa cocktail), and the entire 138-seat place, designed by Brenda Bent and Karen Gable of Bent Gable Design Inc., can occasionally be bought out by request.
