flip flops for your guests?!

On the weekend I attended a really funky wedding at The Bata Shoe Museum. Two good friends of mine were trying the knot with a shoe motif in mind (they're mega shoe-a-holics!). Anywho, silly me, I thought I'd be able to carry the night on with 4-inch heels (I started off fine–but after a few hours I definitely started to feel the pain–and I wasn't the only one). Sitting with a few of my close girlfriends, we started talking about how we should have brought some extra shoes (perhaps flats or a lower heel), and then my one friend suggested flip flops. Saw this really great idea off of Weddingbee, where the bride decided to offer flip-flops to the ladies to dance in. I think it's a marvelous idea–especially since no one will be paying that much attention to your shoes at the end of the night. What do you girls think? Is this something you would incorporate into your own day?
