Doors Open Toronto

Doors Open Toronto

We're so excited! This weekend is the annual Doors Open Toronto (where you can visit over 175 venues throughout the city for free!). Isn't that amazing? Now if you're still on the hunt for that perfect venue, you should definitely take advantage of this program as they have tons of wedding venues included on the list.

Off the top of my head some reception and ceremony locations on the list that would be a worth checking out include Allan Gardens, The Carlu, Gardiner Museum and the Toronto Botanical Garden's (and that's just really off the top of my head, you'll have to check out their main page for a full list of all their venues).

Oh, and something else that Nicole and I found out during our talks about Doors Open was that they are opening the Don Jail to the public, which we think is so eerie but VERY cool (we're history nerds like that). But, what's even creepier is that they're open to hosting weddings there, they even have jail-themed party suggestions on their site such as "The Great Escape" or "Jail Break". It's an interesting concept, but really not the ideal location for a romantic day–maybe a Halloween party would better suit that venue.
