Taking the time to add a few DIY elements to your wedding not only gives your big day some added personal flair, it can also save you a bundle. Buy an inexpensive dress and use antique jewellery to add some glamour to the gown. Make your own table numbers in a few easy steps, opt for a candy bar instead of favours and choose a simple cake topped with some pretty blooms. Our favourite DIY idea of all comes from a recent real wedding we featured -- ask your guests to pick wildflowers and create their own centrepieces in memory of a loved one — it’s a touching tribute and a wonderful way to work homemade elements into your wedding day.
