Day 55: Kate Middleton's Fave Dessert

Earlier on in the countdown we blogged about Will's fave dessert, banana flan, and the potential of this sweet treat being on the wedding menu. Now it seems we've been privy to Kate's favourite treat: Sticky Toffee Pudding. These two certainly love their home-spun desserts, and we've LOVING that fact. This year (and last!) we've noticed a shift towards wedding dessert tables filled with all your homemade-like goodness from s'mores to chocolate chip cookies to apple pie–looks like Kate and Will are right on trend. So, what exactly is sticky toffee pudding? In my opinion, it's delicious cake topped with gooey caramel. From a more authentic standpoint, Authentic Suburban Gourmet's recipe calls for a cake packed with brown sugar, dates and topped with homemade caramel sauce–yum.
