We're used to seeing Kate Middleton in sleek coats, chic dresses (Issa, anyone?) and feathery fascinators, which is why it's interesting to catch a glimpse of the little girl she used to be. The royal family has just released childhood snapshots of Kate (like this one taken on a family holiday when she was three), as well as an official biography of the bride-to-be, on their official Royal Wedding website. The biography sheds further light on Kate's life in the pre-William era, including details about her gap year (the year between high school and university), which she spent studying in Florence. Furthermore, we are able to learn more about Kate's role in the family business---her responsibilities at Party Pieces (a company owned by her parents) reportedly included catalogue design, marketing and photography.
