There's only one reason why I look forward to July–and I may be partly bias because it does mean summer vacay–but the main reason for my excitement is because it's the one time of the year when I can really get my hands on some fresh and riped cherries. And, if you're a July bride (or a future July bride) I suggest taking advantage of this tasty fruit and using them at your own wedding.
Now, I know there's tons of delicious ways to serve cherries at your wedding. Cherry pie and cherry cheesecake are a few traditional examples. But, for this post I wanted to find something truly extraordinary. So I went on the hunt and found this cute setup from the talented bakers at Tartelette. They created a Cherry Orange blossom cake and baked them in mini herb pots. The presentation is so pretty and I love how they also included mini pots of fresh cherries so guests would know what sort of flavours to expect. You can find the recipe on Tartelette's blog and attempt to do it yourself, or pass it along to your own cake designer as inspiration.
