Hoopla Donuts, located in Calgary, Alberta, is a bakery that specializes in doughnuts that will absolutely stun your wedding guests. With the goal of capturing your sweet tooth, the company prides themselves on being able to create beautiful and delicious donut walls that capture the elegance of a step-and-repeat and the allure of a treat table.
“Doughnut walls are a quirky point of visual interest for your wedding reception and have a very ‘Instagrammable’ quality,” says Sebastian Sztabzyb, the founder of Hoopla Donuts. “It’s easy to adjust for the various tastes and dietary preferences of your guests with classics, gluten-free, or vegan doughnuts available. Plus, they’re easy to eat and share.”
The company brings their unique charm to the doughnut wall trend by offering a larger doughnut variety than most. “Doughnut walls and cakes have been trending for a few years, but we’re new to the scene,” Sztabzyb explains. “Hoopla hopes to put its own spin on this trend by focusing more on the flavours.” They also offer doughnuts to cater to a variety of dietary restrictions, including vegan and gluten-free diet friendly options, to ensure all of your guests can indulge at your wedding. Some of Hoopla’s best-selling flavours? Maple glaze, manjari chocolate with sprinkles, and salted caramel.
Hoopla Donuts was created in November of last year by Phil and Sebastian of the Phil & Sebastian coffee roaster brand, but the pair have been catering weddings since 2007. “This new venture has allowed us to get more creative and have more fun with our catering offerings,” Sebastian says.
