Last week I received an e-mail from Lori at Lori Hutchinson Cakes. She was the one who created all those delicious chocolate goodies from My Ode to Chocolate post. She had mentioned that cake season was officially underway and wanted to give us a preview of all her recent cake orders. Let me just say, they look AMAZING! This one was made specifically just for inspiration. I love the subtle peach tones with the sugared flowers, very Southern and chic. Here's a peak of the rest of her cool cakes: Photography courtesy Rowell Photography. This four-tier tower was included in a "Let them Eat Cake" themed photo shoot. Very elegant and sophisticated–almost looks too good to eat.Photography courtesy Rowell Photography.Lori mentioned that these sweet treats were created with a "country" feel in mind. White picket fences, yellow buttercups and white sugared flowers definitely screams "country" to me.Photography courtesy Rowell Photography.I absolutely love how Lori used different shapes for each layer. Very different, very mod. And the pearl, feather and rosette at the top was the perfect finish for this Marie Antoinette-inspired cake.Photography courtesy Rowell Photography.A couture-inspired cake, Lori used the pleating from the brides dress and blue floral patterns to mimic the look onto the cake.Photography courtesy Rowell Photography. This last cake was an enchanted forest-inspired creation made with sugar fairies, mushrooms, orchids and purple dogwood–perfect for all you whimsical brides.
