A Sweet Tradition

Once you’re party is a wrap, you are to save the top tier of your cake, wrap it airtight and keep it in the deep freeze for a year. My first anniversary was this past Sunday and I could hardly wait to get our wedding cake out of the freezer to enjoy (I was also very curious as to if it survived sans freezer-burn). The verdict: our red velvet layer of love more than survived, it tasted just as scrumptious as it did a year ago! Thanks to Yvonne at The Cake Box for the wonderful confection and my mum for the bulletproof packaging. There’s just enough cake left to enjoy another piece tonight.
