Wedding and engagement photographer Aliza Dworkind sent us this nostalgic photo shoot inspired by a classic Quebec winter (which was shot pre-pandemic in February 2020). “I have always loved Quebec winters and wanted to set up a styled winter wedding that was rustic yet classic," says Dworkind. "The scene was intended to bring people back to those warm childhood memories we all love like winter days travelling up north with our family to spend time together at a chalet, drinking hot chocolate and sitting near the fireplace.” And what better time than now to reminisce about those sweet gatherings that we all hold so dear.
The photographer chose Chalets Platinum as the spot for the photoshoot since it’s surrounded by nature, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. “The chalet is very cozy and well-designed. There are plenty of outdoor and indoor spaces for great photos and it would make a perfect wedding venue.” Shoot details we love include the bridal bouquet which combines fresh florals with eucalyptus, hand-tied with a pink ribbon, to compliment the simple and authentic theme of the shoot. We also love the soft and romantic bridal beauty vibe—an effortless updo and natural, glowing makeup with a hint of a smokey eye to add drama. Dworkind also notes that she included a sweet vintage fashion element into the shoot with her grandmother's stole as it was perfect for the rustic winter theme.
