Small weddings mean big details and for 2021 it’s ALL about florals. “With the reduced guests counts in effect couples are spending less on food and beverage, venue rentals, photography and video which means you can allocate more budget to upgrading your the floral design,” says Liting Chan, creative director and co-founder of Paradise Events in Vancouver, a 2020 Weddingbells Wedding Awards winner for Wedding Florist.
We asked Chan for a flower trends forecast for 2021 weddings. Here’s six ideas to get you inspired about trimming your day with the most fashionable and fabulous florals.
Floral Arches
It’s all about making a statement with your florals and a floral arch is a showstopping installation. Speak to your florist and wedding designer to make sure they are familiar with your venue in adavance so they can create an arch design that perfectly compliments your space.
Low Centrepieces
With so many parties planned to happen outside low centerpieces will be huge in 2021. Make your florals a statement piece by creating lush arrangements featuring multiple varieties of big beautifull blooms.
Statement Bouquets
When it comes to a statement bouquet, it doesn’t have to be massive in size. It is all about carefully choosing the right blooms and having them arranged ged in a way to best represent your personality, bridal style and venue. Making a comeback in 2021: the classic round bouquet as well as asymmetric designs.
Uplifting Colour Palettes
Bright colours will be big—everyone wants to create an uplifiting and fun vibe for their 2021 party. Have fun mixing bold and soft shades and have your florist play with loosely structured shapes for your arramements as it will look fresh and whimsical.
