Wedding Nails: Pretty Inspiration from New York Fashion Week
Have you remembered to put wedding nails on your to do list? We hope so--they are an incredibly important part of your bridal style! Everyone will be looking at your hand adorned with your new wedding bling after the ‘I dos’ so your wedding nails should be pretty and fashionable. Though bold colour and rich tones have been big for the past few seasons (trends we’ve fully embraced for wedding nails because why shouldn’t you be in step with fashion?) for spring 2013, there’s a return to softness when it come to nails.
The CND team designed looks for several runway shows in New York early this month and most were fairly understated compared to what we’ve seen in the past few seasons. Some of our favourite looks that can provide inspiration for your wedding nails included subtle sparkle, pale washes of colour and light texture on your nails.
At Angel Sanchez, lovely lilac was the shade of choice and nails were long and almond-shaped. Monique Lhuillier also featured purple in the form of a lavender wash on nails. For a little more obvious glamour, Behnaz Sarafpour had subtle glittery nails that looked like they had been dipped in fairy dust.
