Paraezo Couture was one of the final shows at World Mastercard Fashion Week in Toronto last week and designer Bruce Dang showcased an ethereal lineup of dresses accessorized with gorgeous one-of-a-kind fresh-floral headpieces (tulips, roses, hydrangea and orchids were just a few of the blooms used to create them) and some of the prettiest wedding makeup we’ve ever seen. We snuck backstage before the show to chat with Grace Lee, lead makeup artist for Maybelline New York, about the wedding makeup looks she created for the girls at Paraezo Couture and she told us the wedding makeup was designed to complement the beautiful botanical headpieces.
“The inspiration for the makeup was focused around a garden theme and I chose the beauty elements for the look based on this,” Lee says. “I chose a few key products from Maybelline’s spring makeup line to create a pretty, wearable look that had just the right amount of colour.”
We loved the pale green and petal pink colour palette Lee chose for Paraezo Couture—perfect spring wedding makeup. Lee kept the models looking soft and romantic by applying a light wash of colour to lids, lips and cheeks to create a look that was pretty, modern and photo-ready. Here’s how she created this gorgeous wedding makeup look.
