Wedding Dresses Fit for A (Disney) Princess

If a fairytale wedding dress is on your list of musts, you’re in luck because this fall Alfred Angelo is introducing an exclusive, limited edition bridal collection inspired by Disney’s Cinderella. The Cinderella Diamond Edition Blu-ray will be released on October 2 and is the first time the 1950 classic has been available on Blu-ray. To coincide with the release, Alfred Angelo will be launching the Cinderella Diamond Wedding Gown Collection.

The line will consist of five styles, each in a soft shade of blue just like the Disney princess' gown. According to Alfred Angelo, each gown represents Cinderella from a unique point of view and the collection includes beautiful ballgowns that sparkle and shine just like Cindy’s did in the film. To create the collection, Michael Shettel, vice president of design for Alfred Angelo reports that he had access to the original Disney sketches and concept art for the film. “Ever since Cinderella’s launch on to the silver screen in 1950, girls around the world have grown up with Cinderella and idolized her,” Shettel says. “I wanted to focus on many facets of her character as well as combine my research from the Disney archives. The sparkling glass slipper, Cinderella’s blue eyes and her blue ball gown set the tone for colour, inspiration and themes that are carried throughout the collection.”
