Loving these Kate Spade flats
Hey fellow brides, if you're anything like me you feel that bridal shows might confuse you more than help with this whole decision making process. I've avoided shows until now because some questions were just not getting answered and then missed the ever famous show at the Carlu this weekend. However, the planning must go on, so I decided to turn my search to the cuisine.
With all the local farms around this fine little city, someone should be able to produce a menu that is organic based fresh and delicious at a reasonable price point, right? I've got my heart set on a caterer in Peterborough and I'm excited to meet with them this week but my family is urging me to see what's happening locally and I think it's a good idea. The first booth I was greeted by was a local caterer and they had me at hello. So friendly and knowledgeable and incredibly helpful -- these are the kind of people you want at the forefront, working hard for your business. The more I learned, the more excited I got. I Googled the chef and was so pleased to see he was the real deal. We've got some high profile restaurant industry friends (sorry to sound like "that" girl) and they said his food was good. That's all I needed to hear. I'll let you know what we decide.
So here we are, 201 days away! We've got many things nailed down and many things floating around in my head yet to be nailed down. I'm trying not to get overwhelmed but the more wedding websites I visit the more freaked out I get! Is the goal here to get your wedding shown on every favourite blog or in your favourite magazine? It shouldn't be but it's hard not to get swept up in all that beauty. Blog or no blog, I just want to throw a really fun party with amazing food, fun activities, and lots and lots of dancing. It has to be about us and our love, the rest doesn't really matter.
Are you feeling this pressure? Also, it's hard to be innovative anymore. I want bunting but are people gonna see that and be like, "man, bunting is so 2010."
I think too much, you can say it. :> The good news is, I'm actually sticking to my health routine and I've got my nutrition finally on track. Next step: yoga and meditation. How does one master the art of Zen while stressing about her shoes? Seriously loving these little ballet flats from Kate Spade.
