The Dress for $500 or Less!

When shopping for my dress, it seemed everything I liked was out of my price range!  I was convinced that finding a dress that fit my body, my style, felt good and most importantly made me feel completely amazing would cost more than I was willing to spend.  If this sounds familiar, I hope to save you some stress.  This week I’m choosing to focus on four beautiful dresses in a variety of styles to show you don’t always have to sacrifice designer names and fabulous style to get the dress of your dreams for a reasonable price—in this case for $500 or less!

Save: Sexy Retro Paloma Blanca - $400

I’ve always loved this simple but stunning sweetheart Paloma Blanca Style 3810. It has a retro feel, but the striking lace back provides a unique twist on a figure hugging silhouette. This dress is typically about $1,400 retail, but can be found for $400.

Save: All over lace Forever Yours Strapless - $400

This Forever Yours Style 42202 steps up the classic strapless silhouette by featuring beaded lace throughout the gown for a romantic touch.  Plus, the tiered effect skirt is really hot in wedding dresses right now, and for $400 (retail: $1,350), you’re getting a great deal!

Save: Figure Flattering Maggie Sottero Strapless - $450

A well known wedding dress designer, Maggie Sottero has many beautiful wedding looks.  One of my favourites is this one-piece, strapless, fit and flared gown with corset back because it will give you that sexy but sophisticated hour glass shape. Who doesn’t want that?  Purchased for $850 brand new, and worn for only six hours, this dress is now available for $400.

Save: Classic A-Line Sophia Tolli Strapless - $500

Sophia Tolli makes beautiful classic silhouettes for wedding dresses, and this sweetheart strapless ‘Grace’ A-Line (Item #2726) is no exception. The side pleated detail on the skirt adds visual interest; while the detachable tulle and lace bustled chapel length train gives you the opportunity to have two different looks: one for the ceremony and one for the reception! Retailing for $1,300, you’ll save $800 if you buy pre-owned.  Where will you splurge with the money you save?
