Summer Dresses

  |   By Nicole Keen

This past weekend I was doing a little spring cleaning, mainly sorting through my warm-weather wardrobe, and I have to say, I am in serious need of some new summer dresses. When things heat up here in Toronto, dresses are my go-to pieces: they look polished and they're easy to wear—throw on a pair of flats, and you're done! Needless to say, I was thrilled to discover all the fabulous dress options at Shabby Apple. This feminine, vintage-inspired line was first started because the designers couldn't find suitable dresses that didn't require other additions such as tank tops, slips and cardigans. Now they release six collections a year, and have recently launched a super-stylish bridesmaids line. With seven different dress styles and nine different colours available in a wide variety of sizes, these affordable dresses are definitely not your average bridesmaid dresses. They're infinitely wearable—especially thanks to a dash of Mad Men appeal—and destined to become closet staples long after the big day. In fact, I would wear them to the office! These three are my top picks: love that each one is named after a famous historical couple!
