Last night Nicole and I attended the Romona Keveza show at Toronto's LG Fashion Week and were completely in love with her Spring 2011 collection. Sitting front row, we had an amazing view of the dresses as they paraded down the runway. Sumptuous textures, girly colours and intricate details are just some of the things we loved. The show was divided into three parts, first the show opened with scenes from Breakfast at Tiffany's, as Romona later explained in her on-camera interview with Nicole that the dresses in that movie still resonate today -- almost 60 years later -- and look completely timeless. That is what she wants to achieve with her gowns, a dress that you'll wear on your wedding day, and look back years down the road and still love it.
Some of the highlights of the show included her coloured gowns, which she also explained is a great alternative if you don't want to wear white on your wedding day. Many of the other bridal gowns had the most unique textures -- including one ultra-feminine pale peach dress with feather-like texture on the lower-half of the skirt and one white gown that looked as light as air, that almost looked like it had holes in it. The whole collection was amazing and we'll be able to show you all of the looks soon, so stay tuned! In the meantime, check out Nicole's review of the show.
