Playing with the beauty of shadows and silhouettes, Rita Vinieris’s latest collection for Rivini drew inspiration from the art of photograms and the creation of negative shadow images. This stunning imagery was at the root of Vinieris’s designs that showcased textured embroidery, lace panels and eye-catching beadwork. The collection featured ultra-feminine silhouettes, with an emphasis on gorgeous curve-hugging, fit-and-flare styles and capacious organza skirts with form-fitting embellished bodices. Necklines also varied throughout the collection with deep v-necks, timeless sweetheart styles and elegant bateau designs. For an added unique touch, Vinieris opted for three-dimensional embellishments and leather accents, giving dresses an edgier appeal. Perhaps no gown was more representative of Vinieris’s inspiration than the decadent hand-beaded nude dress, layered over silk charmeuse for a breathtaking textured effect that proved an instant showstopper on the runway.
