Just catching up with myself after a whirlwind three days in the Big Apple, where I was sussing out all the hot new tableware patterns for Fall 2009. Where to start? Well, Vera Wang is always a good place to begin. Her new pattern for Wedgwood, Flirt (pictured), was an instant favourite—there’s nothing this woman doesn’t do right.
Simple, classic and oh so very chic….that’s our Vera (and don’t you just love the way Wedgwood presented this pattern?!). Other pretty things I saw and loved:
• Marco Polo by Versace at Rosenthal. Electric orange and turquoise combine on a white bone china body to create a show-stopping pattern.
• Denby’s new Monsoon line, a series of beautiful boho-looking designs. Monsoon is one of my favourite high-street clothing stores in the U.K., so for me, this partnership was epic.
• Monique Lhuillier for Royal Doulton’s stunning Malibu pattern. Think white and bright, with aquamarine accent plates and accessories.
• Villeroy & Boch’s Green Garland. Sassy and sweet, with just the right hit of colour for your table. Perfect-o.
