There’s something about a pair of red shoes that can really lighten your mood. I have some red patent leather Mary Janes that I’ve been faithful to for years—they add the perfect amount of splash to any ensemble. Needless to say, when we started planning for our next issue (Fall & Winter 2009), I was eager to include some brightly coloured accessories.

As a matter of fact, I’ve been on set all day today where we’re shooting some lovely heels like the ones pictured. Sadly, you’ll have to wait until July to see the final result—and I assure you it’s worth the wait! In the mean time, tell me, would you ever consider a red (or pink, or purple) shoe for your big day, or is it white satin all the way? I can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
