Pretty Eyes

  |   By Stephanie Gray

There's nothing like eyeshadow to perk up your eyes and if you're planning on doing your own makeup for your wedding day, splurging on a great eyeshadow is definitely a must! I'm seriously loving these new shadows from Guerlain, which is officially hitting shelves August 15 (Guerlain boutiques and Holt Renfrew already have). Something that's unique about these shadows is that each compact offers three different textures: Iridescent (has a subtle metallic finish), Matte (contrasts the iridescent) and Satiny (velvety, delicate finish). Five palettes in total, the best bridal palette has to be Rue de Passy, which has soft pink tones, as well as a deep purple and black to help you achieve a smokey look. I also love the packaging, which was designed by India Mahdavi, a Paris-based architect and designer. How lovely will it be to pull this out of your clutch for touch-ups? Retailing for $90, you can also find at Shoppers Drug Mart, The Bay, Sears and Sephora. Need some tips on doing your own wedding-day makeup?
