Oscar de la Renta's Spring 2016 runway show marked the brand's first bridal collection unveiled since the namesake designer's passing in October. In his debut as creative director designer Peter Copping, who joined the brand in November, paid tribute to de la Renta's feminine sensibility and attention to detail while also injecting his own signature style into the collection. Copping, who made a name for himself at Sonia Rykiel, Louis Vuitton and, most recently, Nina Ricci, paid particular attention to the functionality of each gown within this new collection. Pockets and removable tulle skirts take into account the needs of modern brides, while exquisite back detailing ensures that these new gowns look stunning from all angles.
