Oscar De La Renta Spring 2014 Wedding Dresses

Something blue...and something pink! Oscar de la Renta showed these haute hues, along with various incarnations of white, as part of his Spring 2014 bridal collection. In addition to the pretty pastel hues, lace was a predominant element, as was tulle in a variety of volumes. Other noteworthy trends included serious structure, modern illusion necklines and exquisite embroidery. The wedding dresses were, of course, spectacular, but what really wowed us were the magnificent accessories: elegant gossamer gloves, bejewelled hair combs and flapper-worthy strands of pearls. Last but not least, the veil---that quintessential bridal accessory---was reimagined in countless ways: there was baby blue tulle, lace trim, scalloped edges, silky petals, avant-garde poufs---a veil for every type of bride, and then some! And let's not forget the littlest ladies in your bridal party, Oscar's adorable flower girls, clad in ornate ruffles and lace with matching ballet flats and blossom crowns, almost stole the show.
