Toronto fashion week just wrapped and there were so many great collections on the runways by Canadian designers. One who’s always a fan-favourite and knocked it out of the park for yet another season: Joeffer Caoc. His 70s-inspired collection featured everything from gold leather hot pants, to drapey striped pantsuits and jewel-toned jersey dresses, but it was his dramatic dresses in particular that captivated. I just adore this jungle print number that came sashaying down the runway…how fabulous would this look for a tropical destination wedding? Another major hit was a series of champagne velvet gowns that shone like Mylar as they shimmied down the runway (click here to see more Joeffer Caoc at torontolife.com). Joeffer is a good friend (he designed my wedding gown) and I visited his studio last week to get an up-close-and-personal look at these dresses. GORGEOUS. They make for chic, non-traditional and sexy alternatives to the little white wedding dress.
