In her latest collection, Monique Lhuillier set out to show brides the beauty of subtle pastel colours. Channeling inspiration from ballerina jewellery boxes, Lhuillier’s Fall 2015 designs showcased graceful, feminine styles with voluminous flowing skirts, trumpet silhouettes and delicate sheath gowns. Intricate detailing was abundant throughout the collection, which included floral appliques and glittering embroidered accents that added an opulent touch to Lhuillier’s sheer gowns. Beaded illusion necklines and sleeves gave dresses a familiar ethereal feel, reminiscent of the designer’s previous bridal collections. Standouts featured an embroidered rose gold tulle gown with illusion sleeves and a floral headpiece as well as a subtle mint-coloured sweetheart ball gown with a tulle wrap and golden embellishments. Pastel colour wasn’t the only element adding a pop of modernity to the collection, with Lhuillier also unveiling shorter dresses for the style-savvy bride, including a strapless lace floral embroidered frock and an alluring crop top tea-length dress.
